Senior Design Engineer

Role Overview

The Senior Design Engineer will lead the conceptualization and detailed creation of Special Purpose Machines (SPMs), conveyor systems, and line automation equipment. This role involves developing Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical drawings, mentoring team members on various design elements, and ensuring designs are optimized for manufacturing and assembly processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform conceptual and detailed design of SPMs, conveyor systems, and automation lines.
• Create comprehensive BOMs and precise engineering drawings for the systems.
• Provide guidance and technical mentorship to the design team.
• Design components with a focus on manufacturability and ease of assembly.
• Conduct engineering calculations to select appropriate purchased components.
• Collaborate closely with suppliers regarding technical requirements and specifications.
• Utilize Inventor, CREO, or SolidWorks proficiently for design tasks.
• Employ simulation tools to analyze and validate designs.
• Possess foundational understanding of throughput simulation and Factory Design Simulation (FDS).

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Production and Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Strong skills in mechanical and special purpose machine design.
• Expertise in CAD and simulation software including Inventor, CREO, SolidWorks.
• Knowledge of engineering calculations and design for manufacturing principles.
• Ability to lead technical discussions with suppliers.

Additional Information

Location: Pallavaram, India

Compensation Range: INR 325000 to 825000 annually
