Senior Database Administrator

About the Role

Master Works is looking for a seasoned Senior Database Administrator responsible for overseeing, maintaining, and enhancing enterprise database environments. The role focuses on ensuring systems operate with optimal availability, security, performance, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support large-scale database platforms across the organization.
• Continuously monitor database system performance, uptime, and resource utilization.
• Execute backup routines, recovery processes, and disaster recovery plans to safeguard data.
• Enforce database security measures including access management and compliance with best practices.
• Diagnose and solve advanced database problems efficiently.
• Handle database version upgrades, migration efforts, and application of patches.
• Enhance system performance through query optimization and configuration tuning.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and operational procedures.
• Work closely with infrastructure, application development, and security teams to ensure cohesive database operations.

Requirements

• Possess a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years experience managing database systems.
• Proficient with Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and/or MySQL database technologies.
• Expertise in backup, recovery techniques, and establishing high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
• Deep understanding of database security principles and performance enhancement strategies.
• Strong analytical skills with proven capability to troubleshoot complex database issues.

The position requires presence on the client site located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
