Senior Data Scientist

Job Overview

This position entails handling vast datasets to build Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence models tailored for Telco and related data sets. The goal is to empower enterprises to extract significant business insights leveraging Telco data. The Senior Data Scientist will collaborate closely with both internal teams and external partners to innovate AI-driven products and explore novel applications for AI technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop scalable Telco Big Data analytical models aimed at supporting commercial initiatives across various business sectors.
• Design and recommend analytical methodologies prioritizing performance and scalability with large-scale datasets, adhering to industry best practices for model creation, and conducting unit and system tests to validate analytical outputs.
• Continuously evaluate and ensure alignment of current methodologies with prevailing industry standards.
• Innovate by proposing and building new analytical models and algorithms that enhance SmartHub's capabilities and the overall value proposition of Telco Big Data.
• Independently develop solutions incorporating cutting-edge AI/ML models, including Generative AI and Large Language Models, to deliver outstanding benefits to stakeholders.
• Engage actively in gathering stakeholder requirements and co-creation sessions to understand and precisely frame problem statements, recommending and evaluating top analytical strategies.
• Lead technical partnerships with industry players or research institutions to identify and propose new collaborative opportunities.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Analytics, or related fields with a minimum of 4 years' experience in Big Data analytics application development.
• Proficient in business intelligence visualization tools such as Tableau and AWS QuickSight.
• Strong experience in presenting to stakeholders to effectively communicate the business value of data science and analytics projects.
• Competent in Big Data technologies including PySpark and Kafka.
• Programming expertise in Python and/or Scala.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms including AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, Alibaba Cloud, or Huawei Cloud.
• Knowledge of real-time streaming tools like Spark Streaming and Apache Flink.
• Good grasp of agile software development methodologies along with continuous integration and deployment practices.
• Detail-oriented, proactive self-starter committed to ongoing learning and remaining current with industry trends.
• Strong problem-solving skills and creative thinking capabilities.
• Experience within the telecommunications industry is advantageous.
