Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to serve as a technical leader who will architect, scale, and ensure the robustness of our real-time, high-throughput data infrastructure. The successful candidate will manage and advance data systems leveraging Kafka, RabbitMQ, Airflow, and ClickHouse, critical to financial analytics. This role bridges complex business needs with high-performance engineering to sustain real-time financial data processing.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture and continuous improvement of scalable, fault-tolerant ETL and ELT pipelines.
  • Develop strategies for real-time messaging and streaming via Kafka and RabbitMQ to guarantee sub-second data delivery.
  • Serve as a ClickHouse expert by optimizing schema designs, indexing, and queries for extensive financial datasets.
  • Manage deployment of data platforms in cloud settings, incorporating advanced security and governance protocols vital for the finance sector.
  • Partner with senior leadership to align the data roadmap with overall business goals and mentor fellow data engineers through code reviews and guidance.
  • Deploy advanced monitoring solutions and automated recovery to maintain data integrity and quality for critical financial information.

Candidate Requirements

  • Possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrable experience designing and implementing cloud-based ETL processes in data engineering roles.
  • Background in Finance or Trading technology, with proven experience managing real-time market or transactional data.
  • Proficient in Python programming with skills to develop resilient, maintainable, scalable data pipelines.
  • Strong command of SQL.
  • Excellent analytical and collaborative problem-solving capabilities.
  • Effective communication skills for translating complex technical details to non-technical audiences.
