Role Overview
As a Senior Data Compliance Manager, you will serve as the pivotal "middle-office" leader for compliance projects. This involves close collaboration with domestic product and engineering teams to handle initiatives such as data localization, site revamps for cross-regional compliance, cookie compliance, and cross-border data transfer solutions. You will be responsible for managing compliance projects across multiple jurisdictions by formulating project roadmaps, coordinating resources among stakeholders, and ensuring project completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead multi-regional compliance projects from planning through execution, fostering collaboration between diverse teams in Southeast Asia, Europe, and beyond.
- Work closely with product and engineering groups to translate compliance standards into practical, actionable solutions.
- Develop and contribute to an evolving overseas compliance framework, enhancing processes to adapt to changing legal landscapes.
Qualifications
- Minimum five years of experience in data privacy, compliance, or information security.
- Hands-on experience in supporting international compliance frameworks within corporate environments.
- Proven capability to independently manage complex compliance initiatives from initial conception through delivery.
- Proficiency in English is essential; Mandarin skills are advantageous due to collaboration with overseas teams.
- Demonstrated expertise in project management and cross-functional coordination.
