Job description
Role Overview
The Senior Cyber Security Governance Analyst role based in Canberra will contribute significantly to advancing cyber security Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) efforts within the program, reporting directly to the Cyber Security department.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in designing solutions with a focus on security implications.
- Review security requirements and offer informed recommendations to aid their development.
- Prepare communications and documentation to facilitate decision-making by senior executives.
- Coordinate security assurance activities like penetration tests and IRAP assessments.
- Take the lead in creating formalized security documentation.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Strong familiarity with security frameworks such as the Information Security Manual, Protective Security Policy Framework, and the Essential Eight strategies.
- Proven track record in cyber security GRC roles.
- Experience handling stakeholder or client engagement to successfully deliver outcomes.
- Expertise in preparing Governance, Risk, and Compliance documentation.
Preferred Credentials
A minimum of five years in relevant cybersecurity positions is desirable.
Additional Requirements
The applicant must be an Australian citizen and hold NV1 security clearance.
