Senior Cyber Security Engineer

Overview

We seek a highly skilled Senior Network & Cyber Security Engineer with over a decade of professional experience to lead the management and implementation of comprehensive enterprise security systems across network, data center, and cloud platforms in Qatar.

Key Duties

• Oversee, maintain, and resolve issues with security firewalls including Check Point, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Firepower, and FTD.
• Design and configure firewall policies along with VPN, IPS, NAT, and various security protocols.
• Implement and administer Privileged Access Management (PAM) tools such as BeyondTrust, Delinea/Thycotic, and Safeguard.
• Manage Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) solutions including Thales, VASCO, and RSA SecurID.
• Provide support for Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) including Network Access Control (NAC), Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) protection, as well as Web and Email Security solutions.
• Conduct security hardening, system upgrades, migrations, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
• Monitor security infrastructure proactively and address incidents, changes, and service requests while ensuring service level agreements (SLA) adherence.
• Collaborate closely with network, infrastructure, cloud, and application teams to ensure cohesive security strategies and implementations.
• Provide production environment support including 24/7 on-call availability as needed.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proficient with Check Point, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA/FTD firewalls.
• Strong knowledge in firewall policy configuration, VPN, IPS, network address translation (NAT), and overall network security practices.
• Experience administering PAM solutions like BeyondTrust, Delinea/Thycotic, and Safeguard.
• Hands-on expertise managing MFA systems such as Thales, VASCO, and RSA SecurID.
• Familiarity with Cisco ISE/NAC, EDR, DLP, IPS, DDoS defense, Web and Email Security frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with FireEye/Trellix, CrowdStrike, McAfee DLP, Forcepoint, Cisco IronPort, QRadar, and F5/A10 devices is advantageous.

Educational Background

A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Cyber Security is preferred. Relevant security certifications are highly desirable.
