Senior Cloud Solution Architect

Overview

We seek a Senior Cloud and Solution Architect with over a decade of technical expertise in AWS, Azure, hybrid cloud environments, infrastructure, security, networking, migration, and enterprise transformation projects across sectors such as utilities, healthcare, government, and consulting.

Role Responsibilities

• Blend strategic cloud architecture with hands-on delivery experience spanning cloud adoption, migration, modernization, IAM, hybrid connectivity, resilience, disaster recovery, architectural standards, and solution validation.
• Collaborate effectively with engineering, security, operations teams, vendors, and senior stakeholders to realize secure and maintainable cloud solutions.
• Lead the design and implementation of hybrid and multi-cloud strategies across AWS and Azure, including cloud foundations, security and governance enhancements, migration planning, target-state architecture, and integrations with enterprise identity, networking, monitoring, and support systems.
• Define and execute technology roadmaps covering cloud, data center, UNIX/Linux, storage, and backup, aligning platform strategies with organizational objectives.
• Co-develop business cases and migration plans to transition from legacy UNIX platforms to Linux-based systems backed by Hyper-V and Azure, balancing cost, risk, and operational impacts.
• Drive data center resilience by enhancing secondary facilities to production-grade status and adopting active-active designs to reduce downtime and improve continuity.
• Develop repeatable decision-making workflows enabling teams to choose appropriate deployment models from on-premises, IaaS, PaaS, to SaaS, and implement Storage-as-a-Service models for better cost visibility.
• Architect holistic infrastructure solutions and governance, ensuring integration across multiple infrastructure domains in major initiatives like platform replacements.
• Review and contribute to cross-cloud architectures in AWS and Azure including identity management with Entra ID, App Gateway/WAF, Azure Firewall, API Management, PrivateLink, ExpressRoute, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, GuardDuty, and monitoring via Microsoft Sentinel.
• Design solution architectures for migrating critical enterprise applications to cloud-native Azure platforms supporting integration using Azure Integration Services such as Logic Apps, API Management, Service Bus, Event Grid, and Azure Functions to enable secure and scalable business connectivity.
• Establish integration and API standards, event-driven architectures, and monitoring frameworks to ensure resilient and efficient business services.

Skills and Experience

• Minimum 10 years of technology experience in cloud architecture and solution delivery.
• Proficiency in AWS and Azure cloud services and hybrid/multi-cloud solutions.
• Strong background in cloud security, governance, and identity/access management.
• Expertise in networking and hybrid connectivity including private connectivity options.
• Experience with disaster recovery, business continuity, and resilience strategies.
• Familiarity with architectural patterns, standards, and solution assurance methods.
• Knowledge of infrastructure and data center architecture, application and platform assessments.
• Vendor and product evaluation capabilities and executive stakeholder engagement skills.
• Understanding of ITIL service management principles.
