Senior Cloud Security Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to design and implement comprehensive security measures within cloud infrastructures. This role blends cloud engineering, software programming, and automation expertise. The position is permanent and based onsite in Galway, Ireland, with a financial services client.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain security automation tools for cloud platforms and applications.
• Apply security best practices in AWS and Azure cloud services.
• Incorporate security controls seamlessly into Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) workflows and Infrastructure as Code frameworks.
• Provide support for Kubernetes and container-based environments.
• Work closely with cloud infrastructure and security teams to elevate security standards.

Key Requirements

• Practical experience managing AWS or Azure cloud environments.
• Strong knowledge of security considerations within Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS) models.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, or Node.js.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools and CI/CD implementations.
• Understanding of Kubernetes orchestration and data serialization formats like JSON and YAML.
• Excellent analytical abilities and experience working within DevOps cultures.
