Senior Civil Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a seasoned and results-driven Senior Civil Engineer to oversee all aspects of civil construction projects from initiation to completion. Responsibilities include meticulous project planning, site management, quality assurance, cost oversight, contractor coordination, and ensuring projects conclude on schedule while adhering to specifications and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead complete civil construction processes including planning, execution, supervision, and project finalization.
• Oversee daily on-site activities to ensure conformity with approved drawings, quality benchmarks, and timelines.
• Develop, review, and manage Bills of Quantities (BOQs), material estimations, cost analysis, and budgeting.
• Create comprehensive project schedules and monitor progress using tools such as Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Identify potential delays or risks and execute corrective measures to keep the project on track.
• Implement and uphold stringent QA/QC protocols to meet project quality and specification requirements.
• Analyze architectural, structural, and civil drawings, resolving discrepancies through coordination with consultants.
• Supervise reinforced concrete work, structural components, masonry, finishing, and other construction phases.
• Collaborate effectively with architects, consultants, contractors, vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to guarantee seamless workflow.
• Manage contractors and subcontractors ensuring high productivity, workmanship, safety compliance, and adherence to schedules.
• Plan and oversee allocation of materials, manpower, and equipment to ensure continuous project momentum.
• Monitor expenses, reduce wastage, and identify cost-saving opportunities promoting resource efficiency.
• Ensure construction practices comply with all health, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Conduct routine inspections and meetings to assess progress, quality, safety, and technical issues.
• Lead project teams by providing technical guidance, supervision, and engineering support for problem resolution.
• Prepare and evaluate daily to monthly progress reports, site logs, measurements, and documentation.
• Coordinate all inspections, tests, approvals, and handover processes to ensure project closure.
• Proactively recognize construction risks and apply risk mitigation strategies to minimize delays and extra costs.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Deep expertise in civil construction processes including RCC, structural works, and finishing.
• Proficient in preparing BOQs, conducting quantity surveying, estimation, billing, and managing costs.
• Skilled in project scheduling and planning with software such as Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Ability to interpret civil, architectural, and structural drawings accurately.
• Strong understanding of QA/QC standards, construction guidelines, and safety protocols.
• Excellent coordination abilities with contractors, consultants, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Capable leadership and team management skills with strong problem-solving and decision-making aptitude.
• Effective communication skills including reporting and documentation.
• Proven capacity to manage concurrent tasks delivering projects within defined time, budget, quality, and safety standards.
