Role Overview
We are expanding our Business Value Engineer team to help define, articulate, and quantify the business value across our products and services. This position will be instrumental in shaping this impactful function.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with customers to discover new growth and profitability opportunities through tailored storytelling.
- Create persuasive ROI and TCO models emphasizing value driven by new products, trends, and market challenges.
- Support pre- and post-sales teams by delivering training, developing content, and offering support to demonstrate Grafana's value effectively.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to craft a unified narrative that highlights Grafana's value proposition and aligns internal and external messaging.
- Partner with Account Executives, Solutions Engineers, and Observability Architects to define and communicate the business value of offerings.
Qualifications and Skills
- Possess a growth-oriented mindset, eager to learn new technologies and adapt rapidly.
- Have 3 to 5+ years of experience in value management, consulting, or engineering with a strong grasp of quantitative and qualitative analysis.
- Demonstrate the ability to analyze complex datasets and translate them into compelling stories for technical and executive stakeholders.
- Experience collaborating with GTM teams such as Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, and Finance to shape and agree upon value propositions.
Preferred Experience
- At least 3 years of observability experience, ideally with open source tools like Grafana, Prometheus, or Loki.
- Familiarity with the open-source community and ecosystem.
Compensation and Benefits
In the UK, this role offers an OTE salary ranging from £130,000 to £155,000, which may vary based on candidate’s experience and qualifications assessed during the interview process. All employees receive Restricted Stock Units (RSUs) to share ownership in Grafana Labs' success. Compensation ranges vary by country and will be discussed for applicants outside the UK.
