Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our Foundation Tribe at the regional Product team in Singapore. The role involves collaborating within an international and cross-functional team to develop scalable, high-performance backend systems that support our fast-growing business.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and troubleshoot complex technical issues throughout software and infrastructure layers to enhance performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Contribute to evolving system architecture to meet current business requirements while planning for future scalability.
• Maintain code quality by enforcing standards, conducting thorough code reviews, and implementing automated testing frameworks for early detection of defects.
• Manage task priorities, deadlines, and deliverables effectively in autonomous team settings.
• Engage actively in architectural planning, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions with peers.
• Collaborate closely with Product Management to maximize value delivered to stakeholders and customers.
• Utilize cloud environments, continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD), and robust testing to ensure software quality.
• Apply design patterns and best practices related to resiliency, autoscaling, monitoring, and alerting independently.
• Mentor junior team members by sharing expertise and exemplifying strong communication and leadership.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline; an MBA or advanced degree is advantageous.
• 7 to 9 years of experience designing and implementing complex, distributed backend systems featuring microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Expertise in Golang programming is essential.
• Deep understanding of software architecture principles such as SOLID, Hexagonal Architecture, and Design-Driven Development.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS and GCP for building scalable and resilient applications.
• Proficient with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) tools for deploying and managing applications efficiently.
• Experience designing scalable CI/CD pipelines is an advantage.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus and Grafana to ensure high availability and proactively resolve issues.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases including normalization, ACID properties, and indexing, as well as key-value stores like Redis and Elasticsearch.
• Practical experience in software development lifecycle processes, including automated testing at unit, integration, and functional levels.
• Fluent English communication skills to collaborate effectively in global teams.
