Role Overview

The Senior Architectural Technical Engineer will take the helm in coordinating architectural technical tasks, ensuring flawless integration among architectural, interior, joinery, BIM, and engineering components throughout all project stages. This role demands technical excellence and close collaboration with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and related disciplines to produce top-tier, coordinated architectural solutions that comply with project specifics and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage architectural technical tasks from project inception to completion.
• Create, assess, and harmonize architectural drawings, technical details, specifications, and documentation.
• Ensure seamless alignment of architectural needs with Structural, MEP, Interior Design, Joinery, BIM, and other relevant sectors.
• Analyze and coordinate joinery shop drawings, material selections, and technical submissions.
• Maintain coherence between architectural finishes, joinery elements, interior design requirements, and site conditions.
• Review proposals to pinpoint and address potential coordination and constructability challenges.
• Identify and resolve technical and interdisciplinary coordination issues proactively.
• Collaborate closely with BIM teams to guarantee effective integration and model coordination.
• Support clash detection through BIM model reviews and facilitate resolution.
• Ensure all architectural activities adhere to project specs, approved designs, standards, and local regulations.
• Engage external consultants, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders for coordination.
• Participate actively in design and technical reviews, suggesting practical architectural solutions.
• Assist in the preparation and management of project documents, technical submissions, and approvals.
• Mentor and provide technical assistance to junior architectural staff as needed.
• Help enhance architectural technical standards, streamline coordination workflows, and improve overall project delivery.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Extensive hands-on experience in technical coordination and intricate architectural design.
• Prior involvement in commercial, retail, office, hospitality, or premium interior projects is essential.
• Strong expertise in BIM applications and multi-disciplinary coordination.
• Direct practical knowledge of joinery shop drawings, detailing, materials, and technical collaboration.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit is required; familiarity with additional design or visualization tools is advantageous.
• Comprehensive understanding of architectural detailing, materials, finishes, constructability, and building operations.
• Preferred knowledge of Saudi Arabia and GCC building codes, regulations, standards, and construction practices.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project coordination skills.
• Proven ability to coordinate with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and cross-disciplinary teams.
• Keen attention to detail and capability to manage diverse technical demands simultaneously.
