Role Summary

The Senior Application Support Engineer will bolster Group Functions IT support, improving resource availability for end users and critical stakeholders throughout the organization. This position enhances IT support by ensuring the smooth operation of vital financial systems such as Treasury and Financial Consolidation applications, providing extended assistance to VIP users and high-impact teams, and reinforcing the reliability of key platforms including Microsoft workplace solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Embody Pinkerton's principles of integrity, vigilance, and excellence in all activities.
• Deliver prompt and high-quality support for essential Group Functions applications, particularly for VIP users and key business stakeholders.
• Effectively triage, diagnose, and resolve incidents and service requests associated with enterprise-wide financial applications including Treasury and Financial Close/Consolidation systems.
• Document, categorize, and prioritize support tickets via ITSM tools like ServiceNow to ensure timely action for critical cases.
• Implement routine fixes and provide configuration and access support guided by standard runbooks.
• Maintain open and clear communication channels with end users, prioritizing business-critical processes and leadership needs.
• Update and improve knowledge base content, user documentation, and "how-to" guides focused on financial application usage.
• Manage user roles and access with strict attention to security, compliance, and data integrity standards.
• Oversee application lifecycle events including patches and releases with minimal disruption to critical operations.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for major system changes affecting Treasury and Financial Consolidation platforms.
• Provide training, functional advice, and documentation to end users and support personnel regarding financial applications.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational excellence.

Candidate Qualifications

• Experience supporting business-critical SaaS and cloud-based financial applications, including Treasury, Financial Close, Financial Consolidation, or ERP systems.
• Proficiency in Power BI for dashboard creation, data visualization, and reporting.
• Robust troubleshooting capabilities across system integrations, data flows, and application modules.
• Ability to manage sensitive, high-priority incidents with professionalism and accuracy.
• Strong coordination skills to work effectively with internal teams and external vendors ensuring stable and improved application performance.
• Organized, service-oriented, and adept at handling multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Expertise in Microsoft end-user tools and advanced Excel skills—formulas, pivot tables, data modeling, and automation.
• Active participation in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to verify system changes before deployment.

Working Conditions
