About the Role
Our client is an expanding organization specializing in AI infrastructure, developing extensive platforms and software to support sophisticated AI workloads. As their technology scales, the company seeks to enhance its security engineering capabilities for customer-facing applications, APIs, and internal systems.
Key Responsibilities
The Senior Application Security Engineer will oversee security throughout the software development lifecycle. Collaborating closely with engineering teams, you will integrate security practices into CI/CD pipelines, APIs, application architectures, and developer workflows. Your responsibilities will include secure design evaluations, threat modeling, application and API security, identity and access management, vulnerability handling, automating security processes, and promoting secure-by-default engineering standards. Additionally, you will contribute to securing innovative AI-driven application features, ensuring early risk mitigation during development.
Candidate Requirements
- More than seven years of experience in application security, product security, or software engineering focusing on security.
- Deep understanding of application and API security concepts, such as authentication, authorization, tenant segregation, secure coding practices, and OWASP guidelines.
- Practical experience implementing security mechanisms within CI/CD workflows, including code analysis, dependency management, secrets detection, and software supply chain security.
- Proficiency in programming and automation with Python, Go, or TypeScript, ideally involving development of security tools or automating remediation and compliance tasks.
- Experience with securing cloud-based or multi-tenant systems; familiarity with AI-enabled applications, identity standards, and security frameworks like SOC 2 or ISO 27001 is a plus.
