Senior AI Platform Architect

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, technical design, and strategic roadmap for assigned AI platform domains within the enterprise AI platform, including key components like the Central AI Kitchen (CAK) and supporting ecosystems.
• Develop architectural patterns, technical standards, and reusable capabilities that align with the overall enterprise AI platform strategy.
• Collaborate with technology partners, cloud providers, and AI vendors to assess emerging technologies relevant to assigned platform areas.
• Conduct proofs-of-concept, technology evaluations, and pilot programs to verify the feasibility, scalability, and enterprise readiness of platform capabilities.
• Work alongside the Lead AI Platform Architect to create architectures and best practices for specialized platform capabilities, such as model optimisation, inference, orchestration, multimodal AI, AI agents, and model lifecycle management.
• Establish governance and architecture frameworks ensuring compliance with enterprise AI standards and lifecycle management policies.
• Recommend technology adoption through Build, Buy, or Partner assessments based on alignment with business needs and architectural principles.
• Create and maintain documentation including architecture blueprints, design patterns, implementation guidelines, and technical standards.
• Coordinate with Enterprise Architecture, Cybersecurity, and governance teams to ensure platform solutions meet security and compliance requirements.
• Review and approve architecture proposals to guarantee consistency with enterprise principles and standards.
• Present architectural plans and proposals to leadership forums such as the Solution Review Board and Architecture Review Board.
• Offer technical leadership and architectural guidance throughout the implementation phases with Engineering and Operations teams, fostering operational excellence, reliability, and maintainability.
• Partner with AI Solution Architects to ensure platform capabilities support evolving business solutions and AI needs.
• Incorporate AI security measures, Responsible AI, privacy, and governance guidelines with AI Security Architects into platform domains.
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying technology innovations and optimisation opportunities within platform domains.

Candidate Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Deep expertise in software architecture, cloud-native solutions, distributed systems, and AI platform technologies.
• Minimum five years of experience in platform, software, cloud, or infrastructure architecture designing enterprise-scale platforms.
• At least two years of specific experience building AI, Machine Learning, or Generative AI platforms or related capabilities.
• Proven track record of architecting reusable AI platform services and enterprise technical platforms.
• Experience preparing architecture submissions and participating in governance processes such as Solution Review Board (SRB) or Architecture Review Board (ARB).
• Strong collaboration skills working with Enterprise Architecture, Engineering, Platform Operations, Cybersecurity, Data, and Business teams.
