About the Role

An established accountancy firm based in West Cork is inviting an experienced accountant to join their team, offering a distinctive route towards partnership in the near future. Key Responsibilities

• Manage your personal portfolio composed of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and individual clients.
• Deliver taxation, financial, and business advice across a diverse group of clients.
• Operate independently, maintaining full accountability for client relationships.
• Assign tasks to junior team members and support their training and professional growth.
• Collaborate with partners and team members on overall practice management and expansion strategies.
• Guide clients in selecting and utilizing accounting and financial software platforms.

Candidate Profile

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CPA), with tax qualification being a strong advantage.
• Demonstrable experience post-qualification within small to medium-sized accounting firms.
• Proven capability in independently managing a complete client portfolio.
• Comfort with working in a rural practice location.
• Robust knowledge of tax regulations and advisory expertise.
• Self-motivated with an aptitude for initiating and contributing to practice development.

Career Progression

The successful applicant will initially join as an employee, with the potential for promotion to Partner after a comparatively brief tenure.
