Role Overview
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing daily accounting activities, which encompass maintaining the general ledger, recording journal entries, and conducting account reconciliations for THRAA | ثراء. Key duties include preparing financial statements, aiding in month-end and year-end closing, and ensuring adherence to pertinent accounting standards and local laws. This role oversees budgeting and forecasting tasks, tracks cash flow, and supports both internal and external audits. Additionally, the Senior Accountant reviews financial information for accuracy, generates management reports, and partners with various teams to enhance financial control systems and processes. This is a full-time hybrid position located in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, requiring regular onsite attendance alongside remote work flexibility.
Requirements
- In-depth understanding of accounting principles and standards such as IFRS or GAAP, including experience with general ledger management, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
- Proficiency with accounting software and ERP platforms, complemented by advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for detailed analysis and reporting.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to aid decision-making and monitor performance.
- Knowledge of tax laws, compliance, and audit procedures applicable to Saudi Arabia or comparable regions.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational capability, and aptitude for managing multiple deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Robust analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills focused on refining financial processes and controls.
- Effective communication skills in English, both written and spoken; knowledge of Arabic is advantageous.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related area; certifications like CPA, CMA, or SOCPA are preferred.
- Several years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within investment, financial services, or similar industries.
