Job description
Position Overview
We invite applications for the role of Senior Accountant within our Finance team, located in Lusail, Qatar. This role involves managing intercompany accounting, overseeing cost allocation and recharge procedures, handling accounts receivable, supporting month-end closing tasks, and contributing to financial reporting with a focus on accuracy and compliance across diverse business entities.
Key Responsibilities
- Track expenses incurred by centralized headquarters departments and determine costs to be allocated to respective business units.
- Gather allocation bases and verify supporting computations from applicable departments.
- Execute recharge journal entries and generate debit notes using SAP.
- Issue invoices related to management fees and supportive services.
- Maintain and update billing schedules, documentation, and perform reconciliations.
- Oversee accounts receivable and manage intercompany account balances.
- Produce aging reports and ensure follow-up on overdue amounts with respective business units.
- Conduct reconciliations for intercompany transactions, revenue, recharge activities, and accounts receivable.
- Prepare schedules necessary for month-end closings and aid in financial reporting processes.
- Support audit preparations, respond to external auditor requests, contribute to business analysis, and participate in process enhancements.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
- Have 5 to 7 years of accounting experience, including 2 to 3 years in relevant intercompany and cost allocation roles.
- Demonstrated experience with intercompany accounting practices, cost allocation systems, recharge processes, accounts receivable management, and month-end closures.
- Proficient in using SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics financial software.
- Preference for candidates with experience in holding companies or group company structures, managing multiple subsidiaries or business units.
- Exposure to shared service centers and headquarters cost allocation models is advantageous.
- Strong analytical ability, reconciliation expertise, and financial reporting competence.
- Exceptional attention to detail and capacity to perform efficiently in a dynamic environment.
