Job description
Role Overview
We are looking for a Security Supervisor to oversee and coordinate security activities at a prestigious international sports event in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, from September 2026 to February 2027. This on-site position requires managing daily security workflows to provide a secure atmosphere for athletes, officials, staff, spectators, and other involved parties.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day security operations at event venues and associated areas
- Collaborate with security teams, contractors, venue managers, event staff, and relevant authorities
- Help enforce security strategies, procedures, and access control measures
- Organize security personnel deployment, briefings, and fulfill daily operational needs
- Oversee monitoring of access points, restricted zones, screening, and checkpoints
- Support crowd management, respond to incidents, and assist in emergency protocols
- Contribute to security risk evaluations and identify possible operational threats
- Maintain detailed records including security logs, incident reports, and daily activity documentation
- Report security incidents and operational issues promptly to Security Manager and stakeholders
- Ensure adherence to event security policies, local laws, and international standards
- Participate in operational meetings and security briefings as required
- Assist in preparations before the event, venue readiness inspections, rehearsals, and event-time security efforts
- Help compile post-event reports and provide suggestions for enhancement
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Security Management, Law Enforcement, Risk Management, or related disciplines
- Proven background in security coordination or operations, ideally in large events, sports, venues, or public settings
- Experience in major international or high-profile sporting events is highly beneficial
- Excellent organizational, communication, and coordination capabilities
- Proficient in working alongside security staff, contractors, governmental agencies, and event participants
- Knowledgeable in access control processes, crowd supervision, incident documentation, and emergency responses
- Familiarity with event security protocols and security operations management
- Ability to stay composed and operative under pressure in dynamic environments
- Meticulous attention to detail with multitasking aptitude
- Fluency in both Arabic and English languages
- Experience collaborating with police, military, government officials, or participation in major event security operations is an advantage
