Key Responsibilities
- Guide complex security engineering projects within the Information Security domain, shaping technical strategies and driving key architectural choices that enhance our security framework.
- Serve as a trusted technical authority and subject matter expert, offering advice on security technologies, controls, and best practices, while mentoring engineering teams across the organization.
- Develop long-range security strategies and roadmaps, ensuring the continuous evolution of security controls, platforms, and services to meet business demands and emerging threats.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and technology teams to integrate security-by-design principles within cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, and AI-driven technologies.
- Lead the adoption and evaluation of new security measures, including AI-powered tools and workflows, guaranteeing secure implementations aligned with engineering standards.
- Assist in managing complex cyber security incidents and vulnerabilities by serving as an escalation contact and contributing to improvements within security operations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Demonstrated expertise in defining technical vision, making architecture decisions balancing customer needs, business goals, and security considerations.
- Comprehensive understanding of multiple security fields such as Cyber Security Operations, Vulnerability Management, Data Security, Security Engineering, and Cloud Security.
- Practical experience with cloud platforms including AWS or GCP, and familiarity with distributed and microservices architectures.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities, enabling effective alignment across various teams and business functions.
- Proven leadership in mentoring engineers and advancing engineering standards in large-scale tech environments.
- Interest and knowledge in emerging technologies, especially AI-driven security tools, understanding their benefits and associated risks in security contexts.
