Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Support editing and publication tasks within the Global Research and Economics Group at Wells Fargo Securities.
- Create research packets, distribute research documents via market data vendors, and maintain mailing lists and client website access.
- Delegate research reports to Editors and Supervisory Analysts to optimize resource use.
- Manage and update databases related to research functions.
- Follow guidance from leadership while exercising independent judgment regarding policies, procedures, and compliance.
- Collaborate with peers, supervisors, and managers to solve problems and meet goals.
- Contribute individually to various workstreams supporting Corporate Banking debt financing, foreign exchange, and rate products.
- Assist in preparing credit memos, credit reports, and annual client reviews including drafting company and industry analyses.
- Publish quarterly and annual earnings summaries and track credit and equity reports for portfolio companies.
- Create market and sector updates and newsletters to monitor relevant financial developments.
- Analyze borrower ratings, capital structures, covenant compliance, and support drafting non-borrower reports and credit assessment memos.
- Develop expertise in market database tools such as FactSet, Thomson One, Capital IQ, Moody's, and S&P.
- Engage effectively with multiple stakeholders to achieve objectives.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in securities research or equivalent demonstrated through work, education, or military service.
- Preferred educational credentials include MBA, CA, CFA, or a master's degree in finance from a reputed institution.
- Experience in corporate or investment banking sectors, preferably financial institutions group or banks.
- Aspirations to build a career in Corporate Banking, Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, or Capital Markets.
- Solid understanding of credit metrics, financial covenants, capital structures, financial statements, and ratio analysis.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to engage senior professionals and key stakeholders professionally.
- Strong analytical and logical problem-solving capabilities with a methodical approach.
- Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
- Effective time management skills and capacity to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
- High attention to detail ensuring top-quality deliverables.
- Integrity and professionalism in interactions across all organizational levels.
- Results-oriented attitude with accountability and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
