Security Officer

Position Summary

As a Security Officer at Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts in Dubai, your primary responsibilities include patrolling all property areas, managing guest room access, and monitoring security systems such as CCTV, perimeter alarms, duress alarms, and fire life safety systems. You will lock property entrances as needed, perform daily safety inspections, respond to accidents with appropriate emergency measures including first aid and CPR, and assist guests and employees during emergencies.

Other duties involve managing disturbances, notifying relevant personnel during incidents, documenting all incidents related to security or loss prevention, handling complaints, resolving safety hazards, escorting unwelcome individuals off the premises while maintaining orderly operations, and reporting vehicle-related accidents or thefts. You will complete daily security reports, maintain confidentiality of security records, conduct investigations, gather evidence, and interview involved parties.

Policies and Work Environment

Following company policies and procedures is essential, including reporting accidents, injuries, or unsafe working conditions, participating in safety training, and maintaining a professional appearance and conduct. Confidentiality of proprietary information and protecting company assets is mandatory. Engaging guests with professionalism, assisting individuals with disabilities, and fostering positive team relations are vital components of the role. Communication requires clear verbal and written skills, and compliance with quality assurance standards is expected.

Physical and Other Requirements

• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, or an entire shift.
• Capacity to move, lift, carry, push, pull objects up to 50 pounds independently and over 75 pounds with assistance.
• Dexterity needed for manipulating varied-sized objects requiring hand-eye coordination.
• Navigating confined, elevated, sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces including stairs and ramps.
• Reaching overhead and below knees with bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping movements.
• Perform additional reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Experience: No prior related work or supervisory experience required.
• Licenses/Certifications: No specific licenses or certifications necessary.
