Security Officer

Position Summary

The Security Officer is responsible for patrolling all property areas, assisting guests with room access, and monitoring security systems including CCTV, perimeter alarms, duress alarms, and fire safety systems. Duties include locking entrances when necessary, conducting daily safety inspections, responding to accidents, administering first aid or CPR, and assisting in emergencies. The officer must handle disturbances, call for assistance, complete incident reports, and maintain confidentiality of all security documents.

Responsibilities

• Conduct property patrols and assist guests with room access.
• Monitor security systems such as CCTV and alarm systems.
• Lock property entrances as required and perform daily hazard checks.
• Respond promptly to accidents and emergencies, including administering first aid/CPR.
• Manage disturbances, call for external support when needed, and escort unwelcome persons discreetly.
• Prepare detailed incident reports for all security-related matters.
• Maintain confidentiality and proper release of security information only to authorized personnel.
• Conduct investigations, gather evidence, and interview involved parties.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety trainings, and maintain a professional appearance.
• Provide excellent guest service, assisting individuals with disabilities and maintaining clear communication.
• Work collaboratively within the team to achieve common goals and comply with quality assurance standards.
• Perform physical tasks including standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds independently or over 75 pounds with assistance, moving over various terrains, and manual dexterity tasks.
• Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) required.
• No prior related work or supervisory experience necessary.
• No specific license or certification required.

Additional Information

This role is located in Nizwa, Oman and requires onsite presence. It involves standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, operating computers or point of sale systems, and navigating confined or challenging spaces safely.
