Overview
The Security Manager oversees all security-related activities at InterContinental The Red Sea Resort, ensuring the protection and safety of guests, staff, visitors, assets, and property. This role demands the consistent enforcement of security protocols, emergency responses, and loss prevention strategies in line with company standards and local regulations.
Primary Duties
- Direct and manage daily operations of the Security Department.
- Safeguard all resort occupants and property against risks and incidents.
- Formulate, implement, and periodically update security policies and operational procedures.
- Perform routine security evaluations to detect vulnerabilities and hazards.
- Supervise the monitoring and maintenance of CCTV, access control, alarm systems, and other security technologies.
- Coordinate responses to emergencies such as fires, medical crises, evacuations, and other incidents.
- Lead investigations into security breaches, accidents, thefts, and losses, maintaining thorough documentation and follow-ups.
- Prepare and manage comprehensive reports including incident documentation, daily logs, and investigation files.
- Collaborate with law enforcement, emergency services, and other relevant external bodies as necessary.
- Control and monitor access permissions for employees, contractors, suppliers, and visitors.
- Oversee security coverage for guest areas, staff zones, parking, and throughout the resort premises with regular patrols.
- Organize security briefings, training workshops, drills, and emergency preparedness sessions for the team.
- Ensure security personnel are well-trained, well-equipped, and compliant with grooming and conduct standards.
- Support internal investigations into employee misconduct or security violations.
- Work in conjunction with departments such as HR, Engineering, Rooms, and Food & Beverage concerning security issues.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and investigation reports.
- Guarantee adherence to Saudi safety laws, civil defense mandates, and company policies.
- Assist with business continuity planning and crisis management.
- Assess security risks related to VIPs, special events, and high-profile visits.
- Ensure all security equipment remains in proper working order.
- Identify and implement opportunities to enhance security protocols and reduce risk.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by senior management.
Leadership Responsibilities
- Manage, coach, and develop the security team.
- Create duty rosters to maintain adequate security staffing.
- Conduct regular operational briefings and communicate updates effectively.
- Monitor team performance and address issues with appropriate actions.
- Encourage a workplace culture focused on safety, professionalism, confidentiality, and excellent guest service.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Hospitality Management, or a related discipline preferred.
- At least 5 years of relevant security experience with minimum 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
- Experience within luxury hotels, resorts, hospitality industry, or large property environments is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of security operations, risk management, emergency procedures, and investigating incidents.
- Familiarity with Saudi Arabian security, safety regulations, and Civil Defense requirements is advantageous.
- Proficient in managing security technologies such as CCTV and access control systems.
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and investigative skills.
- Ability to remain composed and make effective decisions under emergency conditions.
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic is a significant plus.
- Competent in computer use for generating professional reports and documentation.

Working Conditions
