Role Overview
We are seeking a full-time Security Guard stationed onsite in Auckland CBD. The role requires availability from Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. Responsibilities entail regular patrols, maintaining a visible and professional security presence, controlling access, verifying identification, managing entrance for visitors and staff, and promptly addressing incidents or emergencies. Additional duties include observing and reporting safety or security threats, completing detailed incident and shift reports, and coordinating with clients, event coordinators, and law enforcement as necessary. The guard will also assist visitors and staff courteously, support crowd management and queue control, and adhere strictly to company policies and site-specific protocols.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Mandatory fluency in Korean for effective communication with clients and stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills and customer service aptitude to engage professionally with various individuals.
- Expertise in physical security tasks such as patrolling, controlling access points, and responding to incidents.
- Knowledge or experience in personnel and private security practices focused on protecting people and assets.
- Keen observation skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in documenting incidents and maintaining security logs effectively.
- Ability to remain composed under pressure, exercise sound judgment, and follow established emergency protocols.
- Reliability, punctuality, and the capacity to work shifts including weekends and public holidays as required.
- Physical fitness suitable for extended standing, walking, and patrolling duties.
- Possession of a valid New Zealand security license or eligibility to obtain one; prior security-related experience is advantageous.
