Role Overview and Responsibilities

  • Report punctually for assigned shifts and participate actively in pre- and post-shift briefings.
  • Supervise daily security operations in the Hotel Security Control Room.
  • Continuously monitor CCTV and other security installations, promptly flagging any unusual activities.
  • Control access points to ensure that only authorized persons enter the premises.
  • Conduct consistent patrols across guest floors, public areas, and operational zones.
  • Respond swiftly and effectively to security, safety, and medical emergencies.
  • Document incident reports, carry out preliminary investigations following standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Oversee management of lost and found property, key control, and issue visitor or contractor passes.
  • Provide crowd management, control elevator usage, and escort VIP guests as needed.
  • Support in training security officers on SOPs and hotel policies.
  • Ensure all security equipment is functional, reporting any defects promptly.
  • Coordinate with hotel management, external vendors, and local authorities on security-related matters.
  • Perform any additional tasks delegated by the Security Manager.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Possess 2 to 3 years of experience in security roles within four or five-star hotels.
  • Demonstrated expertise in protecting lives and property during emergencies.
  • Valid certifications for CPR, First Aid, firefighting, and crowd control techniques.
  • Hold at least the Chief Security Officer Certification mandated by local regulations.
  • Certification as part of a Company Emergency Response Team (CERT).
  • Strong command of hotel security systems combined with proficient computer skills.
  • Excellent capabilities in report writing, effective communication, investigation, and interviewing.
