Key Responsibilities

• Assist IBM’s Cyber Strategy & Risk team on client projects involving cybersecurity strategy formulation, risk evaluation, and compliance governance.
• Conduct research, documentation, assessments, and analysis to help produce client-ready materials under supervision of consultants and security professionals.
• Contribute to cybersecurity strategy tasks including development of security roadmaps, operating frameworks, and maturity enhancement plans; undertake studies of emerging threats, industry trends, and regulatory requirements.
• Benchmark client security capabilities against standards such as NIST CSF, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls; create presentations, reports, and executive summaries.
• Support risk management through conducting risk evaluations on threats, vulnerabilities, organizational impact, and control weaknesses; maintain risk registers, treatment strategies, and remediation trackers.
• Analyze risks concerning business functions, key assets, vendors, and tech infrastructure; prepare risk dashboards and management summaries.
• Engage in governance, risk, and compliance activities including reviewing policies, supporting compliance audits against frameworks including ISO 27001, NIST, PCI DSS, and Qatar NIA; organize audit proofs and map controls accordingly.
• Support project delivery by preparing meeting documentation, workshop materials, client communications, tracking action items, maintaining project records, and quality assurance on deliverables.

Qualifications and Skills

• Current enrollment or recent graduation in fields such as Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Risk Management or related areas.
• Strong enthusiasm for cybersecurity governance, risk management, compliance, strategic security consulting.
• Fundamental knowledge of cybersecurity principles including threat and vulnerability concepts, control mechanisms, identity management, incident response, data security, and security awareness.
• Excellent analytical, research, and reporting abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications — PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
• Capability to work autonomously and collaboratively within teams.
• Effective communication skills in English; Arabic language skills are advantageous.

Preferred Experience

• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks like NIST CSF, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, and Qatar National Information Assurance (NIA).
• Arabic language proficiency.
