Security Analyst - Security Platforms (Assistant Vice President)

Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Security Analyst to take a pivotal role within our Security Platforms team at State Street's Cyber Fusion Centre. This position involves designing, configuring, and managing essential security tools that support cyber operations including threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management. The analyst will also lead initiatives to integrate AI-driven security technologies responsibly across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and deliver robust security platforms that empower incident responders and threat hunters with high-performing tools, including management of endpoint detection and response (EDR), advanced anti-malware, and security automation/orchestration technologies.
• Ensure comprehensive environment coverage by overseeing endpoint agent deployment and collaborating with global technology teams to sustain complete visibility within a complex infrastructure.
• Educate and engage partner teams by sharing platform capabilities and use cases to enhance threat detection, incident response, threat hunting, and insider investigations.
• Proactively address emerging threats by rapidly developing solutions, tuning and upgrading systems while following disciplined change management processes.
• Promote innovation by developing automation and integration enhancements that increase platform efficiency and value, and contribute to expanding capability and adoption projects.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience supporting or operating security tools used in incident response, threat detection, or threat hunting, covering both open-source and commercial platforms.
• Solid foundation in security principles and practices, particularly within large, complex organizations.
• Up-to-date knowledge of the threat landscape and familiarity with frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK.
• Experience in 24/7 security operations environments emphasizing rapid response and high system availability.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative attitude, commitment to learning, excellent verbal and written communication, and presentation capabilities.

Education and Experience

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in security and systems management, with a minimum of 3 years concentrated on security roles.
• Prior hands-on involvement with incident response and threat detection tools is essential.
• While a formal degree is not mandatory, qualifications in information security or systems, or recognized industry certifications, are advantageous.
• Experience with scripting, system integration, or basic software development is a plus.
• Exposure to distributed, international teams or financial services environments is beneficial.

Work Conditions

• Position to be based in Dublin or Kilkenny with a hybrid work model requiring regular office attendance.
• Participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation to support continuous security operations is mandatory.
