Role Overview

The Day Procedures Unit is seeking a Scope Cleaner to support the endoscopy department's operations. The role is critical in ensuring the proper decontamination and preparation of endoscopes and related equipment to maintain a safe and efficient clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean and reprocess multiple types of endoscopes, medical equipment, and accessories to ensure infection control protocols are met.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for process validation and cycle records specific to the perioperative setting.
• Collaborate with theatre teams to manage and coordinate instrumentation and equipment needs based on daily schedules.

Candidate Profile

• Previous experience in endoscope cleaning is highly advantageous.
• Exceptional attention to detail and precision in performing duties.
• Proven ability to collaborate within a high-performance team environment.
• Strong organizational skills to plan and prioritize workload effectively.
• Background working in hospital or theatre environments is preferred.
• Flexibility to work a rotating Monday to Friday roster, including afternoon and evening shifts.

Additional Requirements

• Applicants must provide or complete a National Police Check issued within the last 12 months.
• Proof of immunization against infectious diseases may also be required as per role specifications.

Compensation

This role offers an hourly wage of $29.83 plus superannuation, with additional penalties and allowances applicable depending on experience and qualifications.
