Job description

Position Overview

Nord Anglia Education seeks to hire a Human Resources Manager to join Compass International School Doha, located in Qatar. This role involves spearheading all facets of HR management in collaboration with the Principal and leadership team to uphold a superior HR function that aligns with strategic and operational goals.

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead comprehensive recruitment processes for all school vacancies, partnering closely with the Principal and leadership team.
  • Serve as the primary contact for employee relations, offering advisory support, coaching, and mediation to staff and managers.
  • Manage daily HR operations including payroll data entry, contract renewals, attendance tracking, and personnel record upkeep.
  • Guarantee adherence to Qatar Labour Law, Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE) regulations, and Nord Anglia HR guidelines.
  • Oversee staff visa renewals, residency formalities, and proper exit processes.
  • Coordinate the school’s yearly performance appraisal and review cycles.
  • Assist managers with setting objectives, providing feedback, and formulating development plans.
  • Collaborate with the Principal on workforce planning, remuneration, and people-focused priorities.
  • Promote a culture of diversity, inclusion, and wellbeing among the school community.

Candidate Profile

  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline; CIPD certification is advantageous.
  • Have between 5 to 7 years of HR generalist or managerial experience, preferably within educational or service-oriented settings.
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of Qatar Labour Law, employment legislation, and immigration procedures.
  • Show proven expertise handling large-scale recruitment and onboarding efforts.
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal and communication capabilities, adept in influencing senior leadership.
  • Be highly organized, detail-focused, and capable of managing multiple deadlines.
  • Experienced with HR systems and data management; familiarity with SuccessFactors is a plus.
  • Display cultural sensitivity, empathy, and ability to operate effectively within a diverse international environment.
