Role Overview
South Australia Police (SAPOL) seeks dedicated Call Centre Consultants for a vital role where every interaction supports the safety of the community. Serving as the initial contact point for emergency Triple Zero (000), 131 444 Police Assistance Line, and Crime Stoppers SA, the position involves managing high-stakes communications with composure and care. This role demands sound judgement, autonomy, and respect for diverse cultural and social backgrounds while applying SAPOL's procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Make confident decisions and clearly communicate instructions verbally.
- Identify and extract critical information from callers efficiently.
- Engage effectively with individuals from varied backgrounds as part of a supportive team.
- Utilize technological tools seamlessly, managing multiple screens and software platforms.
- Maintain composure and resilience in high-pressure, emergency situations.
- Exercise initiative in handling nonemergency, complex, and emergency calls under established guidelines.

Additional Information and Conditions

- Shift work includes nights, weekends, holidays, and possible overtime.
- Selected candidates join a 12-month pool and may attend a mandatory five-week paid full-time training, followed by additional shifts to complete training consolidation.
