About the Role

As an SAP Basis Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and enhancing our SAP infrastructure, ensuring system reliability and performance across various environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure and maintain SAP systems within Development, Quality Assurance, and Production environments.
- Carry out SAP kernel upgrades, patch management, and support package installations.
- Oversee SAP system performance by detecting bottlenecks and applying tuning methods.
- Administer SAP user accounts, roles, and permissions aligned with company security standards.
- Implement backup, restoration, and disaster recovery plans, including frequent restoration testing.
- Diagnose system issues, perform root cause analysis, and apply corrective measures.
- Maintain documentation of system configurations, operational procedures, and technical runbooks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including development, functional, infrastructure, and support personnel.
- Conduct capacity planning and optimize resource use for SAP environments.
- Ensure compliance with SAP security policies, audit demands, and industry best practices.
- Assist with system migrations, upgrades, and transitioning to S/4HANA.
- Participate in on-call support rotations to handle production incidents as needed.
Candidate Profile
- 5 to 8 years of practical experience in SAP Basis administration within complex enterprise settings.
- Demonstrated involvement in SAP system migrations, upgrades, and S/4HANA conversions from ECC.
- Experience across SAP platforms such as ECC, S/4HANA, BW, and CRM.
- In-depth understanding of SAP architecture, configuration, administration, and performance tuning.
- Competency in managing SAP landscapes through Development, Testing, and Production phases.
- Proficient with Linux/Unix and Windows OS, plus database systems including SAP HANA, Oracle, and SQL Server.
- Familiarity with SAP RISE, SAP Joule, SAP BAIP, SAP Cloud ALM, and cloud SAP technologies like BTP/SAP Cloud Platform.
- Knowledgeable in SAP security, compliance, disaster recovery, high availability setups, and system replication.
- Experienced with monitoring tools, change and release management processes, and scripting/automation using Shell, Python, and PowerShell.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and documentation skills with the ability to handle production incidents and prioritize tasks effectively.
