SAP TM Functional Consultant - Face-to-Face Interview

Overview

We seek a seasoned SAP Transportation Management (SAP TM) Functional Consultant with 4 to 12 years of extensive experience in implementing and managing transportation planning, freight handling, carrier selection, logistics execution, and optimization of transportation processes. This role requires fluency in integrating SAP TM with SAP EWM, SD, MM, and S/4HANA systems to support comprehensive supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze requirements from business units pertaining to transport and logistics.
• Set up and activate SAP TM features tailored to client needs.
• Manage critical functions such as Freight Order Management, Freight Booking, Transportation Planning, Carrier Selection, Freight Settlement, Charge Calculation, and Route Planning and Optimization.
• Configure essential components including Transportation Network, Master Data, and Planning Profiles.
• Facilitate integration of SAP TM with SAP EWM, SD, MM, and GTS modules.
• Participate in testing phases like System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and oversee deployments into production.
• Diagnose and resolve transport system issues promptly.
• Develop functional specifications and collaborate with technical teams for solution development.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

• Proven SAP TM functional expertise.
• Practical experience in transportation planning and execution processes.
• In-depth knowledge of Freight Order Management and Settlement workflows.
• Understanding of Carrier Management and cost calculation methodologies.
• Hands-on work with SAP S/4HANA Transportation Management.
• Familiarity with SAP EWM, SD, and MM module integrations.
• Strong communication abilities and client interaction experience.

Desirable Attributes

• Prior experience implementing and rolling out SAP TM projects.
