SAP Mobility Platform (SMP) Specialist

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled SAP Mobility Platform (SMP) Specialist with significant experience in deploying and supporting SAP mobility solutions. The role requires proficiency with SAP Mobile Platform versions 3.0 and 3.1, encompassing end-to-end implementation and system administration tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement mobile solutions using SAP Mobile Platform technologies.
• Configure and manage SMP server environments and oversee mobile application deployments.
• Integrate mobile applications with SAP backend systems leveraging SAP Gateway and OData services.
• Conduct thorough application testing, including user acceptance testing, and support production releases.
• Identify and resolve issues related to mobile applications, synchronization, and server connectivity.
• Work collaboratively with SAP functional consultants to translate business requirements into mobile capabilities.
• Manage production support activities, incident resolution, and system enhancements.
• Document technical specifications, deployment procedures, and perform knowledge transfers.
• Participate in system performance optimization, monitoring, and security evaluations.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• 4 to 8 years of hands-on experience in SAP Mobility solutions, specifically with SAP SMP 3.0 or 3.1.
• Proven track record in at least one comprehensive SAP Mobility implementation project.
• Expertise in configuring and administering SAP Mobile Platform servers.
• Strong understanding of SAP SMP architecture, OData services, SAP Gateway, SAP NetWeaver, and integration with SAP ECC/S/4HANA systems.
• Experience developing Agentry-based applications, hybrid mobile apps, and native Android/iOS apps integrated with SAP.
• Familiarity with offline data synchronization, push notifications, device management, and mobile security principles.
• Capabilities in troubleshooting SMP server logs, connectivity challenges, and synchronization failures.
