Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned SAP Commerce (Hybris) Developer with 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience to architect, develop, and maintain enterprise-level B2B eCommerce solutions on the SAP Commerce Cloud platform. This role covers full lifecycle development involving the SAP Commerce Core backend, OCC RESTful services, SOLR search configuration, and B2B Commerce accelerator features. You will work collaboratively in an Agile team, engaging with product owners, architects, and QA professionals to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and unit test customized functionalities within SAP Commerce Core including data models (items.xml), service and facade layers, cron jobs, ImpEx scripts, interceptors, and event listeners.
- Extend and build Omni Commerce Connect (OCC) REST APIs to support headless storefronts such as Spartacus and composable UI frameworks, including tasks like DTO mapping, validation, and API version management.
- Configure and optimize SOLR search indexes by managing indexed properties, cron indexing jobs, facets, boost rules, synonyms, stopwords, autocomplete, and relevance tuning to handle large-scale B2B product catalogs.
- Implement end-to-end B2B commerce capabilities such as organizational hierarchies, B2B units, user groups, budgeting, quotes, approval workflows, contract pricing, and automated order replenishment.
- Integrate SAP Commerce with SAP S/4HANA or ECC and other systems via OCI/OCC interfaces, IDoc, middleware platforms, or API-based communication for seamless product, pricing, inventory, customer, and order data flows.
- Ensure adherence to coding quality standards through peer reviews, static code analysis (SonarQube), comprehensive test coverage (JUnit and integration tests), and prompt defect fixes.
- Actively participate in Agile rituals including backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, demos, and retrospective meetings.
Preferred Skills and Certifications
- Certification in SAP Commerce Cloud Development.
- Experience working with Spartacus or composable storefronts built using Angular.
- Familiarity with integration scenarios involving SAP S/4HANA.
