Role Overview
As an SAP ABAP Developer at Cross ALM, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, supporting, and refining custom client solutions, software architectures, frameworks, or products within the SAP Solution Manager domain. Your expertise will span multiple technologies including Change and Transport Systems, Business Objects, user interfaces, and ABAP programming.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, support, and optimize tailored customer requirements and software structures in the SAP Solution Manager environment.
- Work with diverse technologies such as Change and Transport System variants (gCTS, cCTS, CTS+, cTMS), Business Objects layers (BOL/GenIL, BOPF, RAP), SAP user interfaces (SAP WebClient UI, SAP UI5/Fiori, ABAP Webdynpro), and integration interfaces (OData, Webservice, RFC), alongside ABAP/ABAP Object-Oriented programming.
- Lead or co-lead development projects and assist consultants in advisory roles.
- Focus on cutting-edge technologies including git-enabled Change and Transport System (gCTS), expanding SAP WebClient UI enhancements, and managing OData interfaces linking SAP Solution Manager with Jira and ServiceNow.
Candidate Profile
- Possess approximately 3 to 5 years of solid experience and expertise in object-oriented software development with ABAP/ABAP OO, preferably with SAP Solution Manager or SAP CRM.
- Have initial exposure to ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP), SAP UI5/Fiori, HANA, SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP), SAP Cloud ALM, and Jira, with a desire to deepen these skills.
- Understand frameworks and methodologies such as SCRUM, DevOps, ITIL, and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), particularly the end-to-end "Request-to-Deploy (R2D)" and "Detect-to-Correct (D2C)" processes.
- Demonstrate independence and responsibility with a passion for tackling complex challenges and crafting innovative solutions.
- Show proficiency in both German and English communication, written and spoken.
