Role Overview
Based at our central Dunedin location, we seek an individual with a positive outlook to join our collaborative and enjoyable team. As a Sample Collection Technician, you will be responsible for precise and dependable sample collection activities, including coordinating bookings with collection agents, managing sample metadata within Oritain's systems, and ensuring sampling operations comply with customer contracts and quality standards. This position best suits candidates with 1-2 years of experience in dynamic roles involving administration, logistics, customer service, or operational coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate sample collections with a worldwide network of collection partners.
- Monitor and manage collection timelines to meet deadlines effectively.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date sample documentation in Oritain systems.
- Ensure sampling procedures adhere to quality standards, compliance requirements, and customer expectations.
- Facilitate the smooth progression of samples through the testing process.
- Identify and resolve issues proactively to provide an outstanding customer experience.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Aptitude for organizing processes and maintaining order to prevent oversights.
- Comfortable handling data and maintaining precise records.
- Strong communication skills for engaging with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and multiple concurrent tasks.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and motivated to address problems before escalation.
- Familiarity with Agile, lean principles, or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Interest in building a career in operations, supply chain, logistics, customer service delivery, or program coordination in a global organization.
