Job description
About Tātaki Auckland Unlimited
Tātaki Auckland Unlimited (TAU), a council-controlled organisation, serves as Auckland’s premier cultural, events, and destination agency. It enriches the city’s vibrancy through diverse events and treasured cultural experiences, connecting communities, celebrating identity, and enhancing Auckland's global appeal as a place to live, visit, and belong. Our initiatives impact all residents and visitors, aiming to create a lasting legacy for future generations.
Role Overview
As a Salesforce Adoption Specialist within the Digital Department, you will partner closely with the Digital team and Customer Strategy group to craft and sustain a roadmap advancing Salesforce processes and training. Your mission is to boost user adoption and improve the Salesforce platform's effectiveness in elevating customer experiences consistent with TAU’s Customer Strategy. Collaborating with business units, the Content & Channels team, and the broader Digital team, you will lead initiatives for best practices and propose system enhancements alongside the Salesforce Product Owner.
Your responsibilities extend to championing organizational change by facilitating user buy-in, conducting training, and ensuring the continued adoption of Salesforce solutions. You will also oversee the Salesforce User Group in collaboration with the Product Owner, promoting consistent and proficient use of the platform across all TAU divisions. Additionally, you will on occasion support other digital projects, emphasizing a smooth transition from project phases to operational stability.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree—preferably in Information Technology—or an equivalent industry qualification, or substantial relevant professional experience. An experienced Salesforce professional with 2 to 3 years working knowledge of Salesforce Enterprise Software, including CRM and Marketing Cloud modules, is required, with certifications considered a plus.
Proven experience managing large-scale, complex digital initiatives, alongside strong networking and relationship-building skills, is necessary. Experience in delivering training and driving user adoption among diverse, cross-functional teams, together with sound change management expertise, are key. Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams, plus familiarity with Jira or Asana, Agile methodologies, and Lean delivery principles, is essential. A demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with both business stakeholders and digital/IT teams at various levels is expected.
What We Offer
Joining TAU means becoming part of a vibrant and supportive work environment that directly impacts the wellbeing of over 1.7 million Aucklanders. We foster flexible work arrangements, prioritize staff wellbeing, and uphold a culture driven by continuous improvement.
TAU proudly embraces diversity, equity, and inclusion, holding GenderTick accreditation and being a signatory of the Pride Pledge. We aim to cultivate a workplace where everyone feels valued and empowered to thrive, contributing to a community we all can be proud of.
