Job Overview
We are seeking a Sales Engineer to join a rapidly expanding major organisation in Qatar, focused on the marine industry. This position is ideal for someone with a naval architecture background who has a strong grasp of marine engineering and ship repairs and is equally comfortable engaging with clients and technical experts.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain relationships with clients throughout Qatar and the surrounding region, gaining deep insight into their business operations and challenges.
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities in shipbuilding, ship repair, and offshore sectors.
- Convert client inquiries into detailed proposals and follow through to secure signed contracts.
- Monitor competitor activity and pricing strategies to ensure competitive advantage.
- Manage and achieve sales targets for an assigned portfolio.
- Serve as the primary liaison for clients, government agencies, and vessel owners.
Candidate Profile
- Possess an engineering degree, preferably in naval architecture.
- Have 4 to 6 years of experience in OEM or service sales within marine, ship repair, or shipbuilding industries.
- Fluent in both Arabic and English, as daily communication will require both languages.
- Demonstrate familiarity with Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and Middle East markets, especially the Qatari market.
- Show genuine interest and background in the marine industry beyond just sales objectives.
