Role Overview
We seek a Sales Engineer to expand Atkore’s customer base within your region while nurturing current accounts.
Responsibilities
- Manage key accounts effectively to foster strong customer relationships.
- Highlight product features to resellers, end users, engineers, architects, consultants, and project managers; deliver tailored solutions to address client challenges and boost interest in our offerings.
- Develop and execute business plans and sales strategies to discover, engage, and capitalize on market opportunities for Atkore’s product lines.
- Contribute to fiscal year forecasting, including preparation of sales and margin budgets aligned with company goals.
- Regularly monitor market trends and pursue new business leads to maintain a steady flow of growth opportunities.
Candidate Profile
- Extensive local experience in sales engineering, business development, marketing, or commercial management relevant to electrical, metal, or mechanical products, preferably within a multinational manufacturing or distribution organization.
- Proven ability to communicate ideas clearly and persuasively to senior management and influential stakeholders such as architects, engineers, and consultants.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including the capacity to analyze and interpret data and effectively report outcomes.
Onboarding & Development
- Within 3 months: Complete the Atkore immersion program, understand your role’s contribution to Atkore’s strategy, and familiarize yourself with your team and training materials.
- Within 6 months: Develop an in-depth knowledge of the wholesale market in your region, establish customer relationships, and gain a firm grasp of the sales process.
- Within 12 months: Actively manage clients, generate company revenue, handle complex job quotations, and contribute positively to Atkore’s overall sales performance.
