Job description
Overview
We are seeking a Sales Director for Google Cloud to join our Transformation division. This role involves leading and continuously refining the national sales strategy for the Google Cloud portfolio within the organization, collaborating with key stakeholders to advance market positioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and enhance the national sales strategy for Google Cloud services.
- Maintain and lead the strategic partnership with Google Cloud Germany at an executive level, ensuring co-selling budgets are secured and driving joint marketing initiatives. Represent the company at important Google Cloud events such as the Google Cloud Summit.
- Build and lead the sales and pre-sales teams, overseeing their professional and disciplinary guidance while managing the sales pipeline from initial contact through contract closure.
- Drive active business development, securing new clients through qualified initial conversations at C-level and departmental leadership tiers, and fostering cross-selling opportunities by networking across internal industry leads and partners.
Qualifications and Experience
- University degree in (business) informatics, economics, or a related field.
- 8 to 10 years of proven success in selling Google Cloud and sophisticated technology consulting services, supported by a strong and active C-level network (CIO, CTO, CDO, CFO) within German business sectors.
- In-depth knowledge of the Google Cloud partner ecosystem, commercial Google funding programs such as Business Investment Funds, and a solid understanding of industry-specific challenges, value chains, and regulatory requirements in a relevant sector.
- Experience leading agile sales teams and comfort operating within complex matrix organizations.
- Excellent proficiency in both German and English.
