Job description
About 9WAVE
9WAVE specializes in creating revenue systems tailored for B2B firms. Their expertise links elements like pipeline generation, sales and revenue operations, customer success, and automation — ranging from the initial customer interaction to establishing a more reliable commercial workflow. The company collaborates with advanced tech businesses whose products and markets require deep understanding, offering an engaging role to understand and support these companies' challenges and opportunities.
Role Overview
The Sales Development Representative (SDR) role involves engaging with potential customers to set up meaningful meetings for clients. Core activities include making outbound calls, enhanced by email, LinkedIn, and strategic follow-ups. This position demands active listening, effective questioning, recognizing customer needs, and arranging meetings that provide value to both client and prospect.
Key Responsibilities
- Master each client’s offerings, identify target companies, and understand why specific prospects might find value in connecting.
- Initiate conversations through outbound calls, personalized emails, and LinkedIn outreach.
- Pose purposeful questions, explore prospect priorities, and confidently address initial objections respectfully.
- Maintain consistent follow-ups without losing track of ongoing dialogues.
- Arrange appointments with decision-makers and deliver clear context to clients for productive engagements.
- Keep CRM data current and provide market feedback to refine strategies.
Ideal Candidate Attributes
- Enjoys interacting with new contacts and facilitating problem-solving discussions.
- Possesses curiosity, asking clarifying questions before pitching.
- Capable of handling a high volume of calls calmly and maintains enthusiasm for consecutive conversations.
- Skillful at identifying or clarifying needs without forcing dialogue.
- Communicates fluently in both spoken and written English.
- Demonstrates ownership in managing follow-ups and juggling multiple conversations effectively.
Preferred Experience
Background in B2B outbound sales, inside sales, or appointment setting is beneficial. Familiarity with high-technology products or international markets is advantageous but not mandatory. Emphasis is placed on communication skills, critical thinking, and work ethic over formal education or past job titles.
What to Expect
This is a completely remote position offering exposure to multiple high-tech B2B clients. The role provides clear, measurable results through qualified meetings and valuable market insights.
Application Process
Applicants should submit their CV or professional profile along with a brief explanation of their experience in outbound calling. Specifically, sharing strategies for engaging prospects who initially see no reason to talk is encouraged.
