Role Overview
The Sales Development Representative will be a vital member of the growing commercial team. This position centers around generating new customer leads primarily within critical infrastructure and energy markets in Australia. Collaborating with the Chief Revenue Officer and commercial team, you will work on identifying target accounts, mapping stakeholders, running outbound campaigns, and securing qualified meetings with potential clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement focused outbound campaigns directed at Carbonix’s principal sectors and key accounts.
- Conduct in-depth research on target companies, their assets, current inspection methods, and opportunities for applying Carbonix technology.
- Identify and map crucial decision-makers, technical personnel, and commercial contacts within target organizations.
- Build and maintain detailed prospect lists to support sales efforts.
- Engage prospects through personalized outreach via email, LinkedIn, telephone, and other relevant communication channels.
- Manage inbound prospect responses and arrange qualified meetings for the commercial team.
- Perform initial qualification calls to assess customer needs, timelines, current solutions, and commercial viability.
- Maintain up-to-date CRM records and manage follow-up communications for target accounts.
- Collaborate with the commercial team to refine messaging, targeting, and outreach strategies continuously.
- Monitor outreach activities, meeting outcomes, and the formation of qualified opportunities.
Candidate Profile
- Background in sales development, business development, enterprise sales, or similar client-facing positions.
- Strong verbal and written communication capabilities.
- Confidence in liaising with senior-level stakeholders within major organizations.
- Excellent research skills and the ability to comprehend complex industries and organizational structures.
- Experience with CRM platforms, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, sales intelligence tools, and prospecting technologies.
- Highly organized and disciplined in tracking multiple accounts and follow-ups.
- Commercially curious with aptitude for quickly grasping technical products and client applications.
- Self-driven and adaptable in a fast-growing, dynamic environment.
- Valid work authorization for Australia is mandatory.
- Desirable: prior experience selling to utilities, energy, resources, infrastructure, government, or large enterprise clients.
- Highly desirable: familiarity with technical, engineering, aviation, geospatial, or technology-related products and services.
