About the Role
We are partnering with a fast-expanding firm to recruit a Sales Development Representative (SDR) based in London. This permanent role marks a newly established position within the commercial team, offering a standout opportunity for a motivated SDR or Business Development Representative to contribute significantly to building the new business pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform targeted outbound outreach using phone calls, emails, and LinkedIn.
- Conduct research on target companies and pinpoint key decision makers and stakeholders.
- Consistently develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified prospective clients.
- Initiate discovery discussions to evaluate prospects against the ideal customer criteria.
- Create, refine, and test outbound engagement sequences for optimal conversion rates.
- Collaborate closely with the sales team to smoothly transition qualified leads.
- Gain deep insights into relevant industry sectors, companies, and their commercial challenges.
- Compile precise prospect lists leveraging LinkedIn Sales Navigator and other business development tools.
- Keep the CRM system updated with accurate prospect details.
- Monitor activity levels and conversion stats, using data to enhance prospecting efforts continuously.
- Leverage artificial intelligence and sales automation to enhance research, personalize outreach, and boost efficiency.
Candidate Profile
- Possesses at least one year’s experience in a comparable sales role, ideally within payments, fintech, SaaS, or complex B2B sales environments.
- Results-driven with a strong commercial mindset aimed at measurable achievements.
- Resilient and comfortable managing the challenges associated with outbound sales.
- Proactive in creating new business opportunities.
- Driven by data, skilled at using metrics to evaluate and improve sales performance.
- Highly organized and follows process-oriented approaches.
- Effective communicator who can confidently engage with senior decision-makers.
- Capable of understanding and explaining complex technological or financial solutions clearly.
- Familiar with CRM platforms and prospecting tools such as HubSpot and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
- Keen interest in integrating AI and automation to streamline the sales process.
Compensation and Benefits
- A competitive base salary between £40,000 and £50,000.
