Overview
The Sales Development Representative (SDR) for ANZ at Omilia is charged with creating qualified sales opportunities through lively outbound prospecting and efficient inbound lead qualification, specifically targeting enterprise accounts in the APAC region. The role focuses on identifying and engaging senior decision-makers, converting their interest into discovery meetings for the Account Executives, thereby fueling the top of the sales funnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate and own pipeline development in the ANZ territory and broader APAC region, consistently achieving or surpassing monthly and quarterly qualified meeting goals.
- Develop and manage a disciplined, data-informed outbound prospecting approach utilizing multi-touch campaigns across phone, email, LinkedIn, and social channels aimed at senior CX, IT, and operations personnel.
- Promptly qualify incoming leads from marketing initiatives, events, and digital platforms, advancing suitable prospects to Account Executives swiftly.
- Represent Omilia commercially in early interactions within ANZ and APAC, articulating value propositions proficiently across diverse markets and cultural landscapes.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all sales activities and outreach in Salesforce, enabling transparency and tracking for the Sales Director.
- Research and assemble targeted prospect lists leveraging Salesforce, LinkedIn Navigator, ZoomInfo, and other intelligence sources to understand account structures and identify influential decision-makers.
- Enact structured outbound sequences blending personalized cold emails, phone calls, LinkedIn engagements, and social selling tailored to priority verticals like financial services, insurance, telecommunications, utilities, healthcare, and public sector.
- Craft personalized outreach messaging in English and other relevant ANZ/APAC languages, linking Omilia’s conversational AI solutions to the specific business challenges of prospects.
- Conduct insightful discovery discussions focusing on budget, decision-making authority, needs, and timing to build strong interest and secure meetings for Account Executives.
- Adapt communication styles and outreach methods to align with the unique cultural, procurement, and business norms of targeted geographic markets within ANZ and wider APAC.
- Swiftly manage inbound leads arising from various marketing campaigns, maintaining service level agreements and ensuring quality progression to Account Executives.
- Collaborate closely with Account Executives to synchronize prospecting efforts with account priorities, pipeline requirements, and vertical focuses.
- Provide detailed meeting briefs prior to discovery calls, summarizing prospect context and conversation insights.
- Participate in joint territory planning sessions to share intelligence, assist contact mapping, and contribute to sales strategies.
- Acquire and sustain comprehensive understanding of Omilia’s product suite including OCP, miniApps, Pathfinder, CoPilot, TalkGuard, and OptimizeIQ to effectively communicate platform benefits to prospects.
- Stay informed on regulatory frameworks such as GDPR and the EU AI Act relevant to enterprise AI and contact center solutions to answer basic compliance queries accurately.
- Remain updated on market trends, competitors, and vertical developments to ensure accurate, compelling messaging that positions Omilia effectively against competitors.
- Maintain Salesforce as a reliable repository for all outreach data and sales activities, tracking vital performance metrics for continual refinement and effectiveness.
- Engage in regular performance reviews and coaching sessions to identify obstacles and enhance outreach techniques.
- Occasional travel within ANZ and APAC (up to 10%) to support trade events and internal meetings.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Between 1 to 3 years of pertinent experience in sales development, business development, or outbound prospecting within enterprise SaaS, CCaaS, conversational AI, or B2B technology sectors.
- Proven ability to meet or exceed targets in structured SDR/BDR settings.
- Competence with sales tools such as Salesforce CRM, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and engagement platforms like Outreach, Salesloft, or Apollo.
- Exceptional English communication skills, both written and verbal, with capacity to craft compelling cold outreach and engage confidently with senior decision-makers across ANZ and APAC.
- Strong cultural awareness and adaptability concerning the unique business and communication styles in diverse ANZ and APAC markets.
- Self-motivated and organised with the ability to handle a high volume of outreach while maintaining quality and personalisation.
- A keen interest in enterprise technologies, especially contact center automation and conversational AI, paired with a drive for ongoing learning.
- Excellent coachability and a focus on continuous development and refinement of sales techniques.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in one or more European languages such as German, French, Spanish, Italian, or Dutch to aid outreach in non-English-speaking markets.
- Experience or interest in contact center technology, CCaaS, IVR, or conversational AI.
- Familiarity with Omilia’s platform or competitors like Genesys, Avaya, Nuance/Microsoft, Google CCAI, or Amazon Connect.
- History of prospecting within large enterprise accounts in verticals such as financial services, insurance, telecommunications, or utilities within ANZ and APAC.
