Job description

Company Overview

Mega is an AI-driven growth platform designed to replace traditional marketing agencies for small and mid-sized businesses. Unlike software that requires owners to operate it, Mega deploys a suite of specialized AI agents focused on SEO, paid advertising, website management, conversion strategies, and more. These agents handle keyword research, content creation, campaign oversight, technical fixes, and reporting, providing customers with the effect of a full growth team managed through software.
Mega was founded by a team that initially developed proprietary AI growth tools for their own ventures, including a video game company. Recognizing the superior performance of their internal systems, they pivoted to build Mega, which now supports over 1,000 SMBs. Mega has received extensive media coverage from outlets like Forbes, WSJ, Fortune, and more, and successfully raised an $11.5M Series A funding round in March 2026 led by Goodwater Capital and top investors.

Role Overview

The company is expanding its commercial team rapidly, targeting approximately 50 hires over six months, with this Sales Development Representative position being a key part of that expansion based in Montreal, QC. This role is dedicated to generating new business pipeline by identifying SMB owners spending considerably on marketing but potentially overpaying for outcomes without adequate results. Mega has found product-market fit, but seeks someone to amplify inbound efforts by generating qualified leads.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage outbound prospecting efforts targeting SMBs through cold calls, emails, and LinkedIn outreach.
  • Develop and execute against targeted account lists aligned with Mega’s ideal customer profile (businesses spending $50K–$1M annually on marketing).
  • Consistently surpass weekly activity goals for outreach and booked meetings, maintaining high velocity in pipeline generation.
  • Keep CRM data accurate and up-to-date to ensure reliable pipeline visibility.
  • Conduct effective first-call discovery to distinguish genuine buying interest from casual inquiries.
  • Evaluate prospects’ current agency payments and deliverables to identify gaps and opportunities.
  • Qualify prospects based on budget, marketing spend, growth objectives, and timelines before advancing opportunities.
  • Prepare and hand off well-qualified leads with clear context to Account Executives for closing.
  • Leverage AI tools daily to conduct account research, personalize outreach at scale, prepare calls, and expedite follow-ups.
  • Experiment with outreach sequences, messaging hooks, and call introductions; retain successful tactics and discard ineffective ones.
  • Develop repeatable outbound sales motions to be utilized by future team members.
  • Provide feedback on objections, competitor intelligence, and customer triggers to sales leadership, product teams, and growth departments.
  • Help shape messaging, audience targeting, and positioning based on market feedback.
  • Contribute to documenting and building the outbound sales playbook as the organization scales.

Candidate Profile

  • Between 1 and 2 years of experience in roles such as BDR, SDR, or outbound sales.
  • Comfortable making high-volume cold calls; this is primarily a calling-first role rather than email or social-focused.
  • Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to confidently engage U.S.-based business owners or decision-makers.
  • Demonstrated resilience to handle frequent rejection while maintaining positive energy.
  • Good commercial instincts including the ability to explain marketing ROI to non-marketer business stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with AI tools in daily workflows is a strong plus; eagerness to adopt such tools is essential.
  • Must be located in Montreal and willing to work onsite five days per week.
  • Fluent in English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience selling to SMB or local business owners.
  • Background in marketing, agency, or martech environments, enabling easier communication with buyers.
  • Experience working in early-stage startups, particularly where you helped build processes rather than inheriting them.

Additional Information

  • Competitive base salary between $50,000 and $60,000 per year.
  • On-target earnings ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 annually.
  • Comprehensive healthcare coverage.
  • Rapid career growth opportunities within the expanding sales organization.
  • Direct access to company founders and sales leaders, ensuring fast feedback and recognition.
  • Product backed by reputable investors, offering defensible ROI in a substantially underserved market.
  • Vibrant, fast-paced office culture based in Montreal focused on high energy and strong work ethic.
