Role Overview
The Sales Development Representative is responsible for articulating the advantages of the client's products or services by engaging customers, qualifying leads, and converting prospects, along with assisting in sales and contract renewals where necessary. This position demands effective communication capabilities, comprehensive product insight, and the skill to align customer needs with apt solutions.
Key Duties
- Deliver precise sales forecasts on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
- Attain deep product knowledge and technical comprehension of services to evaluate client needs. Gain understanding of AI-enabled product features and communicate their benefits to address client requirements.
- Identify and resolve customer issues or challenges that impact satisfaction or product utilization.
- Navigate competitive challenges and manage objections to retain existing clients or acquire new ones.
- Handle a large volume of daily customer interactions primarily via outbound calls and emails.
- Leverage AI-enabled sales and productivity tools when suitable to aid in prospect research, personalize outreach specifically for Japanese-speaking clients, and prepare for client communications.
- Collaborate with the team and management to ensure a professional experience throughout customer and prospect engagements.
- Keep customer data accurate and complete within the CRM system.
- Execute sales-related activities including qualifying leads, converting leads, conducting customer health assessments, collecting customer feedback, and managing contract renewals.
- Utilize AI-powered tools to assist with follow-ups and routine administrative duties, ensuring accuracy and customer relevance of outputs.
- Work cooperatively within the team and directly report to a Sales Manager.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Candidate Profile
- Possess over four years of experience in sales roles.
- Proven track record of meeting individual and team sales targets.
- Experience managing high-volume outbound calling.
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and handle data effectively.
- Familiarity with or eagerness to learn AI-powered sales and productivity tools.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Solid proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience with Salesforce.com or equivalent Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
- Open to working remotely or from home.
- Fluency in both English and Japanese is a requirement, as the role involves handling sales conversations, negotiations, and business communications in Japanese and serving Japanese-speaking customers across Japan and the APAC region.
