Job description

Overview

This Sales Coordinator role based in Kigali, Rwanda, supports the Sales & Marketing team through a variety of administrative and client-facing tasks. The position requires handling general office duties such as filing, emailing, typing, faxing, and copying. Candidates will assist in preparing sales-related materials including proposals, contracts, and event orders. A key responsibility is promoting Marriott's brand image both within the company and externally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day office assistance to the Sales & Marketing department.
  • Prepare and manage sales documentation throughout the sales cycle.
  • Compile materials and assemble informational packages like brochures and promotions.
  • Utilize effective sales techniques to maximize revenue while preserving guest loyalty.
  • Record, verify, and reconcile sales data such as commissions and leads within sales software.
  • Field guest inquiries concerning facilities, services, packages, and special offerings.
  • Serve as a liaison for clients via telephone and email, addressing questions and requests promptly.

Additional Duties

  • Adhere strictly to all company policies and maintain a professional appearance and conduct.
  • Handle confidential information responsibly and safeguard company assets.
  • Welcome guests with warm hospitality consistent with company standards and anticipate their needs.
  • Communicate professionally with colleagues and guests, including telephone etiquette and accurate document preparation.
  • Foster positive teamwork, support colleagues, and respond constructively to workplace concerns.
  • Comply with quality assurance standards and perform physical tasks such as lifting or moving objects up to 10 pounds.
  • Carry out other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum education: High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
  • At least one year of related work experience in a similar role.
  • No supervisory experience required.
  • No specific licenses or certifications necessary.
