Role Overview
The Sales Associate position is an entry-level sales role focused on expanding awareness and adoption of Cohesity’s offerings. This role is ideal for motivated individuals seeking to jumpstart their sales careers by identifying new business opportunities and supporting the sales pipeline. The candidate will work closely with the sales team in a dynamic and competitive environment, aiming to deliver impactful results.
Key Responsibilities
- Initiate outbound prospecting activities including cold calls, prioritizing and qualifying leads using set criteria and market intelligence.
- Develop and maintain prospect lists by researching target accounts and identifying key stakeholders using tools like HG Insights, Marketo, 6sense, ZoomInfo, Outreach, and LinkedIn.
- Design and implement multi-channel outreach campaigns utilizing phone, email, and social media with tailored messaging to enhance engagement and response rates.
- Conduct discovery conversations to evaluate business needs and readiness, qualify leads, effectively present Cohesity's solutions, and arrange meetings with Account Executives for smooth transition.
- Partner within a designated geographic district to contribute to overall sales performance, campaign execution, partner initiatives, and quota attainment.
- Align with Account Executives and Sales Leadership to drive pipeline growth, support install-base expansion, and integrate sales activities with district goals.
- Increase market penetration into high-potential, underutilized accounts by coordinating with partners, analyzing competitive landscapes, and executing persona-driven Account-Based Marketing strategies.
- Meet or surpass quarterly sales targets by supporting pipeline development and executing targeted go-to-market plans.
- Obtain comprehensive knowledge of Cohesity’s solutions, partner programs, industry trends, and competitors to tailor engagement and demonstrate value effectively.
- Collaborate with leadership to enhance outreach tactics, lead qualification standards, and messaging based on feedback and market insights.
- Provide mentorship to Sales Development Representatives through sharing best practices, training sessions, and role-playing exercises.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Residency in Dublin, Ireland is mandatory.
- Fluency in both English and Italian languages.
- Legal authorization to work full-time on a long-term basis in Ireland.
- A strong passion for sales, with at least 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Experienced in CRM platforms and prospecting tools.
- Aptitude for researching accounts, performing cold outreach, navigating complex organizational hierarchies, and creatively engaging key decision-makers.
- Capability to move beyond initial lead screening to identify deeper customer pain points and purchasing signals.
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Coachability and willingness to incorporate feedback to improve performance.
- Resilience and adaptability in overcoming challenges and setbacks.
- Strong work ethic with a history of exceeding objectives and drive for continuous development.
- Team player with collaborative spirit and readiness to share knowledge and support colleagues.

- Possession of a college or bachelor’s degree.
- Additional plus: vocational training, graduation from the Cohesity Sales Development Program, or equivalent sales experience of 2 years.
- Demonstrated use of AI tools to boost productivity, streamline work processes, and inform decision-making.
